From Personal Journey to Global Mission
Sara Li spent over a decade as a reproductive rights attorney, helping families navigate the complex legal landscape of assisted reproduction. But it wasn't until 2019, when she embarked on her own surrogacy journey, that she truly understood how difficult the process could be.
“I had all the legal expertise in the world, and I still felt lost,” Sara recalls. “Finding a trustworthy agency, understanding costs, building a relationship with our surrogate—every step felt like walking through fog. I kept thinking: if it's this hard for me, how hard must it be for everyone else?”
After welcoming her twin daughters through surrogacy, Sara channeled her frustration into action. She founded GlobalStork to create the transparent, ethical, and supportive platform she wished had existed for her own family.

The Right to Her Own Body
Surrogates maintain autonomy over medical decisions affecting their health. Intended parents are partners in the journey, not owners of it.
Psychological Support
Every surrogate has access to counseling throughout the process and for six months following birth. Building families should never come at the cost of wellbeing.
